Yangon University of Distance Education Library
Vision
To support Online students of YUDE when the distance education will be changed to online education system as the online library.
Mission
To provide teachers who have been writing the Text and Study Guide and have been launching to educational television programs.
To collect international curriculum concerning with distance education and the documentaries of modern method of administration for distance education
To custody the text books and study guide that were published by departments about distance education system
To collect the subject books and old exam questions that can be studied the students of YUDE.
Library History
- 1992, 9 July the University of Distance Education (UDE), was inaugurated at No. 47(A), Inya road, Kamayut township, Yangon. It was named Yangon University of Distance Education(YUDE) on 18 May, 1998.
- 1993, 15 January established at room no.2/202 on the first floor of the building of University of Distance Education
- 1994, 12 July transferred to no.1/204 of main building
- 2006, 9 October transferred to no. 207/208 of building no.19.
- In YUDE Library text book of University Correspondence Course, text books and study guide books, old questions, CDs, DVDs, Myanmar books, English books, periodicals and reference books are collected systematically.
Electronic Resource
e-Lib software has been used to record the library collection. Electronic cataloguing is still being done to provide required services. It also provides Internet access, electronic books to all users. Library connects Union Catalogue of Myanmar Academic Library (UCMAL) with 23 university libraries catalogue.
