Introduction

Studying psychology provides insights into why people behave as they do. It also helps us to understand better, our own thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and attitudes, and can strengthen our appreciation of and to tolerance for the wide differences that exist among people. Psychology also investigates a wide variety of questions and attempts to answer them using scientific methods. Because psychology affects so many aspects of our lives, it is important to know its basic facts and research methods. Psychology gives you a better understanding of why people behave as they do and should provide insights into your own attitudes and reactions. We can define psychology as the scientific study of behavior and mental processes.

The department offers an undergraduate programme of study leading to a Bachelor of Arts degree, specializing in psychology. The curriculum and syllabus are in the same level as those of other Universities with English as the medium of instruction. The department aims to be open Online programs: Diploma & Certificate courses as the long-term objectives.
